At Westwood Academy, we believe that every pupil should have the opportunity to share their views and help shape their school experience. Through our termly Pupil Voice meetings, pupils are encouraged to express their ideas, discuss school life and contribute to decisions that support the continued development of our academy.

Listening to Our Pupils
Pupil Voice provides a meaningful opportunity for young people to tell us what is working well, suggest improvements and share their experiences of school. We value every contribution and use pupil feedback to help inform future developments wherever possible.
By encouraging pupils to participate in decision-making, we help them develop confidence, independence and a stronger sense of belonging within the school community.
Developing Skills for Life
Having a voice also means understanding the importance of listening to others, respecting different opinions and recognising that decisions are made with the needs of the whole school community in mind.
Through Pupil Voice, pupils develop valuable life skills, including:
